UPDATE 1-Fiat Chrysler merger email to GM not the only one it sent to rivals - chairman

TURIN, May 29 (Reuters) - An email sent by Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne to General Motors about a possible merger was not the only such conversation it has had with industry players, the Italian-American carmaker's chairman said on Friday.
