Nationwide Building Society selected NCR Corp. (NYSE: NCR) to provide
personalized banking services. Also, Reuters reported that The Blackstone
Group (NYSE: BX) and The Carlyle Group (Nasdaq: CG) offered to acquire NCR
for $10 million. Shares of NCR soared $3.36 to close at $34.73 while Blackstone Group stock slipped 26 cents to close at $41.98. Shares of Carlyle Group edged up 23 cents to close at $28.41.
