Midwest Factory Activity Picks Up in June

The Institute for Supply Management-Chicago’s gauge of factory activity in the Midwest region rose to 49.4 in June from 46.2 the month prior. Wall Street expected the gauge to rise to 50.3. Readings above 50 point to expansion, while those below indicate contraction.
