Elite Care Emergency Room received a citation for outstanding achievement for their timely assistance in the treatment of a patient found to have a ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction.
PRLog - Aug. 14, 2015 - On the afternoon of July 9th, 2015, a patient arrived at Elite Care Emergency Room complaining of having had chest pain for approximately two hours. Elite Care Emergency Room took immediate action and completed all actions to include an initial 12 lead ECG, Intravenous access, administration of needed medications to include Plavix, Heparin and Aspirin. An emergency transfer was set up to a local hospital for heart catheterization.
During the heart catheterization it was revealed that the patient had 99% occlusion of the Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery. The patient tolerated the procedure well and is expected to make a full recovery.
The patient had a total time of “First Medical Contact to Balloon” of 72 minutes and a “Door to Balloon” time of 23 minutes due to the fast actions of Elite Care Emergency Room. Elite Care Emergency Room was commended for its dedication, judgment, and devotion to duty.
