Dyno charts for 2012 & 2015 VW Jetta 2.0 TDI vehicles released proving horsepower & torque improvements with DieselPower active tuning modules installed.

Cultus Lake, B.C., Canada – DieselPower is excited to announce the release of dyno charts for 2012 & 2015 VW Jetta 2.0 TDI vehicles to prove horsepower and torque improvements with DieselPower active tuning modules installed. These charts show measurements of increased horsepower and torque for a stock Jetta TDI and one with a DieselPower active tuning module installed.

Joe Hafner, spokesperson for the company states, “We’re proud to show the horsepower and torque improvements as measured on these dyno charts using DieselPower active tuning modules. This gives customers evidence that they should install our easy-to-install, non-invasive, and warranty-preserving tuning modules for increased torque, horsepower and fuel performance, which is a superior alternative to the VW Jetta TDI chip tuning process which requires customers to cut through the tamper-proof security bolts of their vehicle, take off their ECU, ship it to a chiptuning company to be flashed, leaving the owner without use of their vehicle until the flashing process is complete, and risk voiding their vehicle warranty.

Dynamometers are industry-standard equipment to test horsepower, force or torque, and vehicle drive wheels are put on rollers and the vehicle is secured to prevent a run away. The vehicle is then put into a gear which is closest to a 1 to 1 gear ratio. In a standard transmission vehicle, that is usually 4th gear. The vehicle is then operated at full throttle which drives the rollers. Torque is then calculated by using force applied and RPM.

On new model vehicles with Electronic Stability Control (ESP) Dyno testing is more challenging. The ESP system is conflicted when the drive wheels are spinning at 140kmh and the other wheels are not. At this point the system reduces engine output to attempt to rectify what it sees as a problem. Some vehicles have a switch which turns off traction control but the ESP continues running in the background. An accurate Dyno reading cannot be produced with these systems functioning. On the road the additional power one feels will never show on the Dyno graph. Therefore, when testing the 2012 & 2015 VW VW Jetta 2.0 TDI cars, a LPS 3000 PKW All Wheel Drive Dyno was used, along with the necessity to remove Traction Control and Electronic Stability Control from these vehicles’ systems to gain an accurate reading.
