Vodafone explores purchase of Liberty Global

Bloomberg reported that Vodafone Group Public Ltd. Co. (Nasdaq: VOD) was exploring an acquisition of Liberty Global (Nasdaq: LBTYA). Shares of Liberty Global leaped $3.60 to close at $51.99 while Vodafone stock rose 90 cents to close at $36.55.
