New Orleans, Louisiana based company Joule Solar Energy has recently announced that they have reached an important milestone. Since their founding, they have installed more than 10 Megawatts, or roughly 40,000 solar panels, for their customers.
Robert Schmidt, spokesperson for the company, remarked, "In the span of a few years, we have installed 10 Megawatts of solar power. When you think about it, that's huge, and we couldn't be more proud of our accomplishment."
That accomplishment was achieved in just six years, between the summer of 2009 and the summer of 2015. Since its founding, Joule has installed over 1,400 solar systems, and more than 14 million kWh of energy will be generated from these panels annually.
"Annually, we are preventing more than 8,000 tons of carbon from being emitted, equivalent to planting 9,000 trees and offsetting over 8,000 barrels of oil," states Robert Schmidt.
Joule Solar Energy will be hosting an event in September to commemorate the company's achievement, and will be celebrating with customers, friends, employees, colleagues, and business partners. Robert Schmidt explained that the company also considers the event a fall kick-off party to celebrate all that the company is doing and all that they have accomplished in just five short years.
Joule Solar Energy plans to continue installing solar systems, and they look forward to serving many more customers in the future and reaching many more milestones. "We'll be at 50 Megawatts before you know it," states Robert Schmidt.
In the past, the solar company has been ranked by Solar Power World Magazine as one of the country's top 50 solar installers, and ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of their top 5 growing companies in Louisiana. They have been awarded an A rating by both the Better Business Bureau and Angie's List, and were awarded the Master of Green Design by New Orleans Home Lifestyle Magazine.
