WWT Opens Asia-Pacific Headquarters and Singapore Technology Center (STC)

World Wide Technology, Inc. Proven IT professionals Eric Helfer and Nilesh Mistry will provide strategic leadership for WWT’s new Singapore regional headquarters and technology center, where they will focused on fulfilling the IT needs of multiple industries, including financial services, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing and service providers.

Nilesh Mistry recently joined WWT as Head of Asia-Pacific. After 20 years working in large multinationals such as Citigroup, Westpac and his most recent role as CTO for J.P.Morgan, Mr. Mistry has acquired a broad spectrum of experience across hardware, software, technology governance, as well managing large teams both on and offshore. Eric Helfer will serve as WWT’s Head of Sales for Asia-Pacific. He has spent 15 years in Asia between Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore, and his last 11 years as a Global Account Executive at Cisco Systems for Asia and in New York.

“Leveraging the global success of WWT, the Singapore regional headquarters and technology center will enable WWT to deliver new customized solutions to our clients the Asia marketplace,” said Helfer.

The Singapore Technology Center (STC) will mirror the advanced capabilities and services of WWT’s established U.S. and Amsterdam-based Integration Technology Centers and provides a factory-like environment to provide solutions in areas of collaboration, compute and cloud, mobility, networking, security, software and storage and big data.

The STC is a 20,000 square foot facility that includes a 5,000 square foot lab environment offering logistics and integration services such as shipping and receiving, inventory and storage, cross dock and logistics services, installation, asset tagging, kitting and repackaging. The STC will provide desktop and laptop imaging, IOS network device services, networking project staging, pre-OS for servers and single device configuration services. Access point configuration and network project staging as well as rack and stack services, including integration, cabling, configuration and crating of rack builds will be fully available in early Q1 of 2016.

The new STC adds to WWT’s Global Integration Technology Center presence, which includes its St. Louis-based Integration Technology Center (ITC), a 540,000 sq. ft. facility with a 50,000 sq. ft. lab environment, and its Amsterdam-based European Technology Center (ETC), a 35,000 sq. ft. facility with a 5,000 sq. ft. lab environment. All three facilities are part of WWT’s Advanced Technology Center, a collaborative ecosystem to design, build, educate, demonstrate and deploy innovative technology products and integrated architectural solutions for WWT customers, partners and employees. When customers leverage these technology centers, they are able to confidently evaluate and deploy technology solutions around the world.
