Military jets scramble in pursuit of unmoored surveillance blimp on eastern seaboard

Military jets were said Wednesday afternoon to be tracking a surveillance blimp that inadvertently became unmoored from the U.S. Army’s Aberdeen Proving Ground. The F-16 fighters, the Federal Aviation Administration and NORAD were reportedly working to guard against the military craft’s encroachment on air-traffic corridors.
