Aetna Whole Health Chicago Adds NorthShore University HealthSystem to Illinois Exchange

Aetna (NYSE: AET) announced today that the NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) network of hospitals and physicians will be added to the Aetna Whole Health Chicago network for the 2016 individual open enrollment period.

For individuals, Aetna Whole Health Chicago now has access to NorthShore and Advocate Health network of providers.

This agreement strengthens the Aetna Whole Health network by adding more than 1,000 primary care and specialty care physicians and four hospitals. Consumers living in Cook, Lake, DuPage, Kane, and McHenry counties can purchase Aetna Whole Health Chicago now on healthcare.gov.

In addition, small businesses that are looking to select a new plan for their employees from April 1, 2016, onward also can purchase Aetna Whole Health Chicago starting January 1, 2016. Small businesses will have access to NorthShore, Rush Health and Advocate Health’s network of providers.
