CBRE Group, Inc. Earns Top Score on Corporate Equality Index for Third Consecutive Year

CBRE Group, Inc. (NYSE:CBG) announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality that is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. With its high score, CBRE is recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality. This marks CBRE’s third consecutive year of achieving a perfect score, and the company continues to pave the way for increased diversity across the entire commercial real estate industry.

“We recognize the importance of a diverse workplace in attracting and retaining talented professionals and fostering innovation and CBRE continuously strives to enhance our efforts,” said Jennifer Ashley, global director of human resources, CBRE. “We are proud to be recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality for the third consecutive year.”

The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices such as non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.

CBRE’s LGBT & Allies Network Group plays an instrumental role in ensuring CBRE satisfies all of the CEI’s criteria and in engaging with national organizations such as Out & Equal that advocate for workplace equality.

“This achievement is a celebration of our hard work and unsurpassed commitment to bringing all perspectives to the table to deliver the best client outcomes. We are incredibly proud of our people and of this achievement,” said Chris Ludeman, global president of Capital Markets for CBRE and co-executive sponsor of the LGBT & Allies Network Group.

CBRE has been recognized as a trailblazing employer in the commercial real estate industry. Earlier this year, CBRE was named one of “America’s Best Employers” by Forbes magazine, recognized as one of Fortune magazine's Most Admired Companies for the third straight year, and named a World’s Most Ethical Company by The Ethisphere Institute for the second consecutive year.
