Karen Paletta Named Sprint President, New York and Philly Tri-State Region

Karen Paletta has been named Sprint (NYSE: S) president of the New York City, New Jersey, Central Pennsylvania and Delaware Region. Based in New York, she will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer. Paletta will remain in her current position as regional vice president for consumer sales in the Northeast until the new regional structure is rolled out next year.

Paletta’s appointment follows Sprint’s announcement that it will restructure the company into four geographic areas – West, Central, Northeast and South – with targeted resources devoted to 17 top regions, including New York and Philadelphia. Under Paletta’s leadership the company will develop market-specific offerings serving the unique local needs of consumer and business customers.

The Northeast geographic area covers Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, New England, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. It encompasses more than 980 company-owned or Sprint-branded retail stores.

Paletta previously served as regional vice president for consumer sales in the Northeast and has nearly two decades of experience leading sales, distribution and operations functions at Sprint. Before joining Sprint, Paletta worked for Bell Atlantic Mobile.
