Key Donation by Nicholas Borgesano, Assures Success of Church’s Christmas Outreach Program for the Homeless

February 4, 2016 — The Calvary Chapel Worship Center, an interdenominational Christian church located in New Port Richey, Florida, that is dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to its community and the world, is pleased to announce that its December 2015 Christmas community event to provide food, clothing and other goods to the local homeless and disadvantaged individuals and families was an overwhelming success.  Calvary Chapel Worship Center would like to thank all of the generous individuals who donated their goods and/or time to the event with special recognition for one generous soul, Nicholas Borgesano.

Filled with the Christmas spirit and a strong desire to give back to his community in some manner, in early December of last year Florida resident Nicholas Borgesano conducted research into local charities and non-profit organizations that were sponsoring programs designed to provide help and support for the community during the upcoming holiday season.

Through his research, Nick Borgesano discovered that the Calvary Chapel Worship Center was hosting an event on Saturday, December 19, where donations of food, clothing and other essentials were to be distributed to homeless families and the needy in the local community.  This was exactly the type of event that Mr. Borgesano was searching for; one that supported the needy in his community and that could make the most of his extra belongings.

Nicky contacted the Calvary Chapel Worship Center and made arrangements for his sizeable donation of used clothing and other household goods to be picked up and delivered to the church in advance of the event.  “Nick’s donation made our event, we were so blessed by his generosity,” exclaimed Charlene, the Calvary Chapel church member who picked up Mr. Borgesano’s donation at his home.

“It feels great to be able to give to those less fortunate on a holiday like this. Nobody should have to wake up on Christmas without something to open or look forward to; whether it be family, food or gifts,” said Nick Borgesano.  “I have always believed in giving back to my community and am happy to have helped families who were in need this Christmas season.”

The event at Calvary Chapel Worship Center proved very successful with dozens of homeless and underserved individuals and families receiving gifts of clothing, food, toys and other household goods.  The unselfish response from the community to support the event exceeded the church’s expectations, making it even more successful than anticipated.

Sponsoring community outreach programs like this is one way that the church serves its local community while spreading God’s Word.  For more information about the Calvary Chapel Worship Center and to learn about its other planned community events in the near future, please visit its website at www.ccwc.org or call 727-376-7733.
