Colorado Gov. Hickenlooper Launches New Website

The Office of Governor John Hickenlooper launched a new website allowing citizens and businesses in Colorado to have more access than ever to news, information, and services provided by the governor.

In partnership with Colorado Interactive and the Statewide Internet Portal Authority, the governor’s office developed and launched a new, user-centric site, which can be found at http://www.colorado.gov/governor. The structure, content, and functionality of the website promote Gov. Hickenlooper’s focus on collaboration, innovation, efficiency and desire to better serve the people of Colorado.

"We are excited to launch a new website that gives Coloradans easier access to the online services and updates they need," said Gov. Hickenlooper."We appreciate the collaboration with the Statewide Internet Portal Authority and Colorado Interactive and look forward to seeing this innovative site in action."

Colorado Interactive built the site infrastructure on the Colorado.gov Drupal platform, delivering the security, accessibility, and functionality key to eGovernment success. The new homepage features current news releases, flag statuses, valuable links to online services, and access to the governor’s social media channels.

Another prominent feature of the site is the Governor’s Priorities: Economic & Infrastructure Development, Environment & Energy, Government Services, Health, and Workforce & Education. The governor and his team want citizens to have access to information on the focus they have to fulfill the vision of a healthy Colorado for citizens, our economy, our communities, and the environment.

These website features, integrated accessibility tools, improved search functionality, and increased transparency make the new website for Gov. John Hickenlooper a place where citizens and businesses can access information and interact with Colorado government anytime, anywhere.
