[Reuters] – The U.S. government is poised to approve two long-delayed sales of Boeing Co fighter jets to Qatar and Kuwait, and could announce the multibillion-dollar deals during President Barack Obama’s visit to the Gulf this week, according to two sources familiar with the matter. Both deals have been stalled amid concerns raised by Israel that equipment sent to Gulf states could fall into the wrong hands and be used against it, and by the Obama administration’s broader decision-making on military aid to the Gulf. Read more on this. The Boeing Company (BA) , with a current market cap of $87.43B, opened this morning at $130.64. Looking at the stock, its one day range is $130.32 to $132.25 with a one year range of $102.10 to $154.09. BA shares are currently priced at 15.48x this year’s forecasted earnings, which makes them relatively inexpensive compared to the industry’s 22.11x forward p/e ratio. The company pays shareholders $4.36 per share in dividend income per year, for a current yield of 3.32%. Consensus earnings for the current quarter by the 15 sell-side analysts covering the stock is an estimate of $1.83 per share, which would be $0.14 worse than the year-ago quarter and a $0.36 sequential decrease.
