Mid-Atlantic Manufacturing Activity Turns Negative

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve’s gauge of manufacturing activity in the mid-Atlantic region dropped to negative 1.6 in April from 12.4 the month prior. The Wall Street expectation was for a reading of 8.9.
