Jonathan Blitz Named Sprint President, South Central Region

Jonathan Blitz has been named Sprint (NYSE: S) president of the South Central Region. Based in Little Rock, Ark., he will be responsible for sales strategy, network oversight, customer service, marketing communications and general operations supporting the full portfolio of Sprint products and services from enterprise to consumer in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. Blitz will report to Jaime Jones, president of the South Area.

Blitz will lead the South Central Region in one of the four geographic areas – West, Central, Northeast and South – Sprint created when it reorganized to devote targeted resources to 18 top regions. Under Blitz’s leadership the company will develop market-specific offerings serving the unique local needs of consumer and business customers.

The South geographic area covers Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Central Texas. It encompasses more than 1,311 Sprint-branded retail stores.

Prior to joining Sprint, Blitz worked at Verizon since 1993, serving in a variety of leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and Operations. He has experience as the Director of Sales for all channels of distribution most recently as the Director of Business for Verizon in for the South Central Region.
