Comcast soothes cord-cutting fears with 53,000 new subscribers

Last year, cable companies were bleeding subscriber numbers and the sky was falling. On Wednesday, Comcast Corp. overturned that view when it said it added 53,000 Xfinity video subscribers during the first quarter.
