Slow & Lower: Dow Drops 140 Points as Global Growth Concerns Weigh on Stocks

Stocks fell today as disappointing Chinese manufacturing data rekindled concerns about the strength of the global economy. The S&P 500 fell 0.9% to 2,063.37, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 140.25 points, or 0.8%, to 17,750.91. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.1% to 4,763.22.
