Finish Line Teams Up With Reebok and Allen Iverson for ‘20 Years. 20 Questions.’

Athletic retailer The Finish Line, Inc. (NASDAQ: FINL) has teamed up with Reebok for an exclusive video series that celebrates the storied career of pro-basketball legend Allen Iverson, as well as his 20 year anniversary with the Reebok brand. Finish Line’s video series titled “20 Years. 20 Questions. With Allen Iverson.” features 11 exclusive interviews, four of which can be viewed now. The series gives customers an in-depth look into Iverson’s thoughts on his life and career, six years after leaving the sport he loves.

“Allen Iverson’s persona and talent resonates with our customers and we have captured his swagger in this video series,” said Paul Diehl, director of digital brand at Finish Line. “Thanks to visionaries like Iverson, the culture of the NBA is now celebrated through personal style and attitude. We are excited to partner with Reebok and Iverson to bring these legacy products that highlight his style back to market.”

This year marks the official 20 year anniversary since Reebok and Allen Iverson first teamed up to release what has become one of the most iconic, on-court basketball sneakers of all time. To celebrate this milestone, unique launches of the Question Mid will take place throughout the year to commemorate Allen Iverson and the cultural impact he has had on basketball. The Question Mid Practice drop pays homage to one of the most talked-about moments in Iverson’s career, the “Practice Press Conference.”

Finish Line’s latest video discusses Iverson’s views on the hype surrounding this infamous press conference, which focused more on his practice schedule and habits than his dedication to the team. The video aligns with the retailer’s next sneaker release, the Reebok Question Mid Practice, which debuts May 13, and highlights elements of the outfit Iverson wore during the interview.

"Finish Line has been a premium partner in celebrating the life and times of Allen Iverson through the Question Mid 20th Anniversary collection," said Brian Lee, Director of Basketball Product & Sports Marketing at Reebok. "Throughout the collection, Iverson’s innate passion, his unique style and his effect on culture are clearly highlighted. Finish Line has done a great job capturing what he meant to the game, both on and off the court, through authentic brand storytelling."

More information about the video series can be found on the retailer’s YouTube channel and sneaker release details can be found at FinishLine.com.
