In trading on Wednesday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 2.3%. Helping drag down the group were shares of Stone Energy (SGY), down about 8.9% and shares of Pioneer Energy Services (PES) down about 8.8% on the day.
