AirTime Grand Rapids' 30,000-square-foot indoor game park is slated to open in November 2016, and will feature wall-to-wall trampolines designed for open jumping, dodgeball courts, Olympic-grade foam mosh pits, trampoline slam-dunk basketball, and concession and party areas, all powered by high-energy music, and live DJs.
General Manager (GM) candidates must be customer focused, high-energy individuals with the ability to lead a young staff of up to 100 individuals. As the leader of the management team, GMs will work closely with ownership and corporate management in the day to day operation of the business.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hiring, training, operating efficiency, expense management, and customer service. Successful GMs should represent AirTime in the community by soliciting businesses, attending community functions, and accommodating schools and other organizations in fundraising and special events.
"This is a full-time career position in a growing industry," said John Zebari, Operating Partner of AirTime in Troy and Sterling Heights. "We operate a seasonal schedule, six to seven days a week, and we require managers to work a schedule that meets the demands of the business, but believe in the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance."
Experience in hospitality, retail, amusement and/or banquet service is preferred, but not required. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of retail management.
In addition to the GM position, the Michigan-based company plans to add some 60-70 staff positions including court monitors, event hosts, concessions, and additional managers starting in October 2016.
