The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) has selected YourPassNow, a digital solution that makes entrance passes, permits, and licenses for public lands available for purchase online, as a finalist for the 2017 Igniting Innovation Showcase to be held on March 14, 2017 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington D.C.
The ACT-IAC’s Institute for Innovation seeks nominations to recognize highly innovative IT products, services, systems, and solutions that benefit government (federal, state, local, and tribal) and citizens. YourPassNow was selected as one of 30 finalists out of 120 submissions to compete for the top award. The Igniting Innovation Award is given to the best overall innovation as determined by the audience in attendance at the event.
YourPassNow is a responsively designed, mobile optimized website. Using a personal device, citizens can purchase access to public lands from one centralized, digital marketplace. For land management agencies, YourPassNow offers a validation feature that helps prevent fraudulent use of credentials on public lands. YourPassNow actively promotes understanding about how fees are needed and used to protect and maintain our nation’s most treasured outdoor places.
