The biggest emerging-market ETF doesn’t hold some of the biggest EM stocks

Earlier this month, the Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba reported a massive surge in its fourth-quarter revenue, results that contributed to the strong year-to-date advance in its stock price. However, many emerging-market investors may not realize that they’re not actually participating in this growth story, or others like it.
