Control4 Named Top Whole-House Automation and Control Brand in the Annual CE Pro 2017 Brand Analysis for Third Year in a Row

Control4 Corporation (NASDAQ: CTRL), a global provider of smart home solutions, was named the top home automation provider in the 2017 CE Pro Top 100 Brand Analysis for the third year in a row. Pakedge was named the brand leader for home networks for the fifth year in a row.

Based on responses to a survey of the largest domestic system integrators of custom electronic systems, including audio, video, lighting, whole-house controls, security systems, motorized shades and other electronic devices across 55 categories, the annually published report serves as an industry evaluation of the brands that are most important to the industry’s highest-revenue generating integrators.

The CE Pro Top 100 Brand Analysis determined that Control4 is once again the brand leader for the whole-house automation and control category with 61% of respondents. Pakedge, the Control4 Networking product line, was named the brand leader for home networking with 46% of respondents, a category in which CE Pro coins “arguably the most important category in home electronics these days.”

Control4 was named the brand leader in four additional categories including:

1. Audio: Multiroom A/V Distribution Systems
2. Video: Video Distribution Switchers/Extenders
3. Security: Access Control
4. Climate: HVAC Control

Control4 was also named a ‘bullet brand’ in audio amplifiers and phone systems/intercoms securing this year’s second-place brand position in both categories. The ‘bullet brand’ distinction is given to companies that have a large increase in survey mentions compared to the previous year, in audio amplifiers Control4 more than doubled, from 16% to 39% of respondents over the last year. In addition, Control4 placed second or third among the top five brands in the categories of Lighting Control, Remotes/Interfaces/Smart Devices, IR Distribution Systems, and Remote Managed Services.
