Dose Announces Former Viacom Exec, Chris Colarossi, as SVP, Brand Partnerships

Dose, a top digital media company reaching more than 30 million viewers monthly, announced today the hire of Chris Colarossi as senior vice president, brand partnerships, to lead revenue growth in the East and Midwest, continuing to scale and expand the company’s offerings of premium branded content and social analytics.

“We’re excited to have Chris’ leadership as we develop and expand the brand across new mediums,” said Emerson Spartz, CEO and founder, Dose. “His experience will be extremely valuable as we grow our portfolio of brand partners and as we launch Morning Dose, a first-of-its-kind social, data-driven morning news show.”

Dose recently partnered with Tribune Media to launch its TV show, Morning Dose, adapting the company’s unique technology and predictive social format for broadcast to drive the daily conversation, anticipate headlines and identify viewer preferences.

The digital media brand employs pretesting and a unique predictive algorithm in its data-driven creative process, minimizing the guesswork to identify what social content will resonate. Dose works with major consumer and entertainment brands such as Anheuser-Busch (NYSE:BUD), Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX), and Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.B) to effectively reach audiences directly on social with curated in-platform content.

“Joining the Dose team is a great opportunity as our core visions are so well aligned,” said Colarossi. “I’m excited to bring our predictive social tech and innovative content to new brand partners as the company continues to grow.”

Colarossi brings more than two decades of industry experience to Dose, including a 12-year tenure at Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB) where he held the role of vice president of global business development. Working within the music and entertainment groups, Colarossi oversaw revenue teams for major networks such as MTV, VH1 and Comedy Central, specializing in multi-platform sales and marketing across digital, social, TV, mobile, branded content, events and grassroots.

Following his time at Viacom, Colarossi acted as chief revenue officer at Social Theory, a strategic creative shop he co-founded with former Viacom executives, which focused on digital storytelling and branded content specializing in social activation, experiential and music. Major brand partners included Honda Motor Company (NYSE: HMC), AT&T (NYSE: T), and Elizabeth Arden, Inc. He previously held roles at major media and entertainment companies Universal Music Group and the Hearst Corporation. A graduate of University of Rochester, Colarossi holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and currently resides in New York City.
