AI in 2018: Still more hype than reality, AI is nothing to be scared of yet

In 2018, we are at a crossroads with one of the most hyped technologies of the past year: while AI is in nearly everything, it is still not always that useful or amazing, and can be extremely frustrating. While much of the talk is about the possibilities, both good and evil, the reality is much less dramatic.
