US-China trade truce may breathe new life into the scuttled $44B deal between Qualcomm and NXP

Chinese President Xi Jinping indicated he's open to approving a renewed deal for Qualcomm to buy chip rival NXP. The companies had scrapped their planned $44 deal in July after Chinese antitrust authorities indicated they wouldn't approve it.
