This new capability, to ensure Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II and other ETCs support recipients meet and comply with FCC requirements, is now available months ahead of the mandated July 1, 2019 deadline to begin network testing.
BECentral®, BEC's Service Enablement Platform for Licensed LTE, CBRS Shared Spectrum and Unlicensed 5 GHz solutions is now fully equipped to support scheduling and detailed report generation for network performance and latency measurements per FCC requirements. This new functionality builds on its comprehensive suite of services for device management and extended network visibility.
Operators deploying the BEC's Ultimum® Series of wireline residential gateways such as the 8920NE, 8920AC and 8700AXL and 8900AX can leverage existing device support of TR-143. This widely accepted industry standard for measuring broadband performance at the customer premises furthermore supports the use of existing network management tools and systems, such as an Access Control Server (ACS).
