Charlotte business group to honor Hornets president with prestigious award

The Charlotte Regional Business Alliance on Thursday named Charlotte Hornets executive Fred Whitfield as its 2019 Citizen of the Carolinas, continuing the organization’s top honor previously bestowed by the former Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.
