Delta says the next big battle between airlines will take place on the ground

Delta Air Lines CFO Paul Jacobson says the next big area of competition in air travel is not in the passenger cabin but in the airport experience. Delta was the first U.S. airline to sign a deal with biometric screening company CLEAR to cut down on wait times at security checkpoints. That, as well as the remodeling of major metro area terminals and addition of multiple tiers of luxury lounges, are part of reimagining the frustrating, stressful airport experience.
