AMS Galaxy USA Welcomes New Director of Farm Automation Strategies

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 23, 2020, Kutztown, PA – AMS Galaxy USA is proud to announce and welcome John Baker as the Company’s Director of Farm Automation Strategies. Baker directing and coordinating different automation strategies and sales opportunities with AMS Galaxy USA, Brad, and the dealer network.

He joins the AMS Galaxy USA team from Delaval, and most recently McLanahan. For the past 30 years, Baker has been working with dairy farmers helping them design farm automation systems from the milking center, sort areas/special needs area, robotic milking barn design, and manure management/separation systems. He looks forward to working with dairy farms looking to implement new methods of improving their operation’s performance and profitability for the future.

“Several new products have been developed within AMS Galaxy USA’s lineup, and they offer significant financial savings across all brands of robotic milking to our dairy farmer network,” Baker said. “The cost savings of the new Patent Pending High Moisture Corn feeding system is one of the most game-changing economic windfalls for dairy producers utilizing robotic milking on the farm. Homegrown feed sources will provide a huge cash flow position on these dairy farms.

I’ve always enjoyed working with dairy farm families. Both of my great grandfathers bottled milk from their farms so I enjoy the rich heritage of the dairy farming community.”

Baker was raised on a family beef cattle farm in Pennsylvania and started his career working with dairy farmers after graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Agricultural Mechanization. Baker feels the new technology offerings AMS Galaxy USA now provides to farmers, like the High Moisture Corn feeding system for robotic milking systems, and the Calf Café system that AMS Galaxy USA has brought to market are going to change how dairy producers achieve better profitability today and into the future.

“We are excited to have John on our team,” said President Brad Biehl, “all dairy producers desire more profitability and they want it with healthy animals and the highest efficiency across their operations. John Baker will be able to bring Galaxy automation products to more farms across the country and allow them to achieve their individual farm goals with less hired labor.
