Yoga Warrior Competition Announces Winner and $301,000 Donation to Veterans Yoga Project

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - June 11, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

Yoga Warrior has announced its 2021 winner, and the Veterans Yoga Project is celebrating with a significant contribution.

The Yoga Warrior competition brought together thousands of like-minded individuals from across the globe who all share a passion for the yogi lifestyle. Vietnamese-born Hue Nguyen was voted the online competition winner and took home the $10,000 grand prize. She will also be featured in a two-page advertorial spread in the newest issue of Yoga Journal. Nguyen has been practicing yoga since 2009 and currently teaches at Hot Yoga Markham studio in Ontario, Canada.

"Being a finalist in the Yoga Warrior competition made my fears, insecurities, and self-doubts slowly leave me, giving me room for self-confidence and greater things to enter my life," said Nguyen. "I feel like I'm on the right path towards living a healthy and satisfying life. I also feel like the universe has acknowledged/rewarded me for my dedication and hard work."

Due to the incredible support many of the competitors received, the Yoga Warrior competition was able to donate $301,219.26 to the Veterans Yoga Project® to help support those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to the idea that all veterans, service members, and first responders can bridge the gap from post-traumatic stress to post-traumatic growth.

The 2021 competition was sponsored by Liquid I.V.™, MantraBand®, and YogiTunes.
