ABIS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that thrives on community support and fundraising. Their goal is to provide programs and services that eliminate structured, systemic barriers for Black student-athletes and coaches. The inaugural Champions & Legends Weekend is ABIS' leading fundraiser and speaks to their commitment to promoting equal rights and fair treatment of black people in all sports.
"It is about time that a Sports Award Show is done For Us, By Us. Some of our Great stars have gone unnoticed and been forgotten for far too long. ABIS believes it is time to recognize and honor these individuals. While we cannot Honor everyone all at once, it will be fun and exciting to start and figure out the process. Let's GO!" - Gary Charles
