Aesthetic Surgeon Dr. Umberto Tozzi talks about the trend towards smaller and smaller implants among women

MALIBU, Calif. - Aug. 26, 2022 - PRLog -- Forget big breasts à la Pamela Anderson. The trend of the time calls for naturalness and increasingly smaller prostheses. Plastic surgeon Dr. Umberto Tozzi, one of the most recognized doctors of Italy, and who has performed a lot of breast implants in his career, spoke about the new wave of minor surgical interventions in the breasts, as well as about the explant.

"Even those women who come to the office for the first time have requested a prosthesis, on average, much smaller", confirms the plastic surgeon. If before the 400 to 500ml models were successful among women, now they hardly exceed 300/350 ml. "The number of small implants I'm doing is surprising, but at the same time, it's a market that only grows, as there are always women wanting to change their breast size".

Tozzi explains that the trend goes beyond the new beauty standards of celebrities. According to the surgeon, the very large prosthesis, in addition to no longer providing a satisfactory aesthetic look, "injure the tissues of the region, causing a stretching of the skin lining". The result is the appearance of a series of irreversible stretch marks that bother many women.

"I don't see any problem in choosing a small prosthesis, it just has to be well thought out, balanced and that harmonizes with the body structure of each person", he adds. "Anyway, the number of plastic surgeries is only growing and the silicone implant is the most requested".

About the shape of the prostheses "I usually suggest an anatomical shape because it is more natural, but if the volume is not so big an ergonomic or round prosthesis can be a good choice in the same way" he specify.
