A Series of Colloidal Materials Newly Launched at Alfa Chemistry: Catalysts, Nanoparticles, and Silica

By: Get News

New York, USA - March 21, 2023 - Earlier this month, Alfa Chemistry unveiled a new product line of colloidal materials for scientists engaged in relevant research providing customers across the globe with easy access to comprehensive colloidal materials, including: colloidal catalysts, colloidal nanoparticles, hydrocolloids, and colloidal silica.

"Colloids have unique electrical, optical, magnetic, and biological properties that large-scale materials do not possess, and therefore are widely used in the agriculture, biomedicine, energy, environment, and chemical industries," said the Marketing Chief of Alfa Chemistry. "Established nearly 20 years ago, our Colloidal Materials Division is capable of developing and supplying a large number of flexible and innovative colloids."

Colloidal Catalysts

Colloidal catalysts are advantageous in terms of their stability and recyclability. As an expert in catalysis, Alfa Chemistry has developed a number of catalytic synthesis technologies and can provide customers with a complete set of solutions, including special catalyst design, development, optimization, and improvement. Some colloidal catalysts provided by Alfa Chemistry involve aluminum sol, iron, palladium, platinum, rhodium, and other precious metal catalysts. To name just a few here: triphenylphosphine carbonyl rhodium chloride, 95%, tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)platinum, dichlorotetraamminepalladium, Pd: 43.0 wt.%, dichloro(pentamethylcyclopentadienyl)rhodium(III) dimer, allylpalladium chloride dimer, Pd: 58.2%, etc.

Colloidal Nanoparticles

Colloidal nanoparticles are a class of multifunctional materials, and Alfa Chemistry offers three categories of such materials: metal colloids, metal oxide colloids, and colloidal quantum dots. To name a few here, Barium Ferrite Slurry (BaFe12O19, Purity: 99.5%, Diameter: 80-100 nm), Bismuth Oxide Dispersion (Bi2O3).

Colloidal Silica

Colloidal silica is a dispersion of nano-sized silica particles in water or other solvents. Alfa Chemistry's colloidal silica product portfolio covers conventional, quick-drying, modified, organic solvent-based, and non-spherical in large and small particle sizes. All products are produced in a manufacturing network that meets international quality certifications. To name just a few here: Hydrophobic fumed nano-silica, specific surface area (BET): 170 m2/g; Fumed silica, hydrophobic, specific surface area: 200 m2/g; Silicone sol (SiO2, purity: >99.9%, diameter: 80 nm, solvent: propylene Glycol Monopropyl Ether); Nano silica water dispersion (SiO2, purity: >99.9%, diameter: 10 nm, 30 wt.%); Sodium-type silica sol, diameter: 78-82 nm, etc.
