Clean Energy Technology Companies Have Until September 12, 2024, To Submit Requests for Vouchers Worth up to $250,000 in Ansys and Flownex Simulation Consulting and Services
PHOENIX - Aug. 20, 2024 - PRLog -- PADT, a globally recognized provider of numerical simulation, product development, and 3D printing products and services, announced its listing as a Pre-Approved Voucher Provider in the US Department of Energy (DOE) Voucher Program. PADT's Ansys and Flownex Simulation Support for Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis is listed under Voucher Opportunity 2: Performance Validation, Modeling, and Certification Support as Voucher # V02-54. Companies engaged in long-duration energy storage, clean hydrogen, carbon management, industrial decarbonization, updates to the electric grid, and advanced nuclear technologies can apply to the program administered by the DOE's ENERGYWERX initiative for up to $250,000 of support from PADT or any of the providers listed.
The Voucher Opportunity program was "designed to provide support in the form of a voucher to obtain Performance Validation, Modeling, and Certification Support, including failure-mode studies, testing to obtain industry-relevant certifications, system performance modeling, digital twin development, and other real-world testing environments." PADT is offering its world-class expertise in advanced multiphysics simulation using the full suite of Ansys tools for structural, thermal, fluid, and electromagnetic modeling, along with the Flownex Simulation Environment for thermal-fluids system simulation. The voucher will pay for a 3-stage, 30-week modeling and simulation project to reduce risk and prepare for manufacturing and certification.
"Most small clean energy companies lack the expertise or funds to apply this technology to help them understand and predict system performance under certification-relevant operating conditions and explore failure modes and lifetime performance of the design." Stated PADT's VP of Engineering, Tyler Shaw, PhD. "With the voucher program, voucher recipients can work with PADT to discover potential issues and identify areas for improvement to enhance expected performance in real-world environment testing."
Companies interested in leveraging PADT's simulation expertise or the expertise of other companies and National Labs for their clean energy products can learn more on the ENERGYWERX page for Voucher Opportunity 2 Recipients. They can find more detailed information on the program and view a list of Pre-Approved Voucher Providers.
If the program seems like a good fit, companies can apply by filling out the short Recipient Submission Form. The deadline for Voucher Opportunity 2 submissions is September 12, 2024, at 3:00 PM ET.
