BNP Paribas Continues to Expand Its Global Hedge Fund Relationship Management Team

BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Lane to its global hedge fund relationship management (HFRM) team as head of the Americas. BNP Paribas will continue to hire in this area to match our significant growth in the Hedge Fund space.

Commenting on the appointment, Talbot Stark, global head of hedge fund relationship management said, Chris' appointment further enhances our global effort in HFRM, a team comprising of a diverse group of professionals, with backgrounds in structured credit, equity finance, fixed income-prime brokerage and equities and derivatives. Hes a seasoned professional with extensive client relationships. His experience and skill-set is the right fit for us and well continue to add people of this caliber to the hedge fund relationship team globally.

Chris most recently worked at Merrill Lynch in New York where he was a Director of institutional sales in the equities division. Prior to that, he spent 7 years at Goldman Sachs also as an institutional salesperson and before that spent three years at Morgan Stanley Asset Management.

He will be based in New York and report locally to Todd Steinberg, head of equities and derivatives for the Americas and Kip Testwuide, head of origination and distribution for fixed income in the Americas. Chris will also have a functional reporting line to Talbot Stark in London.

In addition to Chris appointment, Mark Walker, head of hedge fund relationship management, Europe, has been named Chief Operations Officer.
