April 25th, 2008 has been named ‘BNP Paribas celebrates MillionTressNYC Day’ in New York City.
Mayor Bloomberg’s proclamation states:

We are proud to count BNP Paribas an invaluable partner in PLANYC - our comprehensive vision for a greener, greater New York City – and also as the presenting sponsor of MillionTreesNYC month. The BNP Paribas team has demonstrated their outstanding dedication to New York City through their charitable donations and by volunteering their time to help us plant the seeds of a bright, healthy future.“
The MillionTreesNYC month in New York City will include the BNP Paribas Greenhouse erected in Union Square, Manhattan over four days from April 26th to 29th and in Columbus Circle on April 30th, to accept donations from New Yorkers and to help educate about the importance of planting and preserving trees. The Greenhouse will be staffed by BNP Paribas employee volunteers. There are also a host of strong advertisements throughout the City including billboards in Times Square, street banners, and panel advertisements throughout the subways, bus stops and phone booths and a video advertisement in taxis. BNP Paribas will also donate 1200 trees to home owners in designated Trees for Public Health Neighborhoods throughout the City.
