Vivendi SA, the Paris entertainment company, can decide beginning Sunday to sell its 20% holding in NBC Universal, the operator of theme parks, a movie studio and TV networks and channels, Bloomberg News reports.

But French entertainment giant confirms outlook.

Wireless-Internet operator Clearwire Corp. plans to raise $1.5 billion in fresh capital by selling stock to a group of investors that includes Sprint Nextel Corp., Comcast Corp. and Intel Corp.

Shares of broadband wireless hopeful Clearwire open higher, gaining after a report that a group led by Sprint Nextel will invest an additional $1.5 billion to enble the company to expand its network.

General Electric and Comcast reportedly agree to value an NBC Universal-Comcast joint venture at about $30 billion, but French conglomerate Vivendi still hasn’t come to terms on how much it will receive for its stake in NBC Universal.
