The discount amortization for the second quarter of 2010 that is attributable to the May conversion (i.e. accelerated discount amortization) is approximately $60.5 million, which compares to the accelerated discount amortization for the first quarter of 2010 of $11.2 million.

The cumulative amount of subordinated notes converted since the debt was modified in June of 2009 to include the conversion feature equaled $201.1 million, all of which converted into the company’s Series C preferred stock, equaling 8,043,880 depositary shares each representing a 1/40th interest in a share of Series C preferred stock (equaling 201,097 shares of Series C preferred stock in the aggregate), and constituted approximately 16.6% of the original $1.21 billion principal amount of the convertible subordinated notes; the $1.21 billion includes the December modification of $40 million of subordinated debt, as referenced in the Form 8-K filed January 5, 2010.

The conversion dates for the convertible subordinated notes occur only on semi-annual interest payment dates. The next such dates are:

·   September 15, 2010 for convertible 6.00% notes due on September 15, 2015;
