AIB completes the disposal of BZWBK
 
 
Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. ("AIB") [NYSE:AIB] announces today it has accepted the tender offer of  Banco Santander S.A. ("Santander") for shares in Bank Zachodni WBK ("BZWBK") in respect of its entire shareholding of 51,413,790 shares representing 70.36 per cent  of the share capital of BZWBK.
 
As announced on 7th and 18th February 2011, AIB expects that the transaction will be completed on 1st April.
