Item 8.01 Other Events

On June 7, 2006, the Board of Directors of Presstek, Inc. unanimously elected John W. Dreyer, then serving as Lead Director, as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. The Board set the compensation arrangement for Chairman of the Board as equal to the compensation arrangement for Lead Director, which has been previously disclosed.
