Elliott Associates, L.P. and Elliott International, L.P. (collectively, “Elliott”) issued the following statement on January 30, 2013:

“History repeats itself at Hess. It is remarkable that Hess management confirmed on its call today that it has no further restructuring plans to announce. Shareholder Nominees are needed to address the much larger problems and recoup the years of lost shareholder value.”
