On August 12, 2005, R. Steven Hamner will give a slide show presentation regarding real estate
income from the U.S. healthcare industry during a meeting with various individual and institutional
investors. The slide show presentation, which will contain certain information regarding Medical
Properties Trust, Inc., is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
