iControl ESI's Robin Thompson to Take Part as Panelist at InfoGov16

By: PRLog
ADDISON, Texas - Oct. 5, 2016 - PRLog -- iControl ESI, a complex eDiscovery software and solutions company founded in 1999, today announced that Robin Thompson, VP of Marketing and Business Development, will take part as a panelist at InfoGov16 in Providence, Rhode Island.

InfoGov16 takes place at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, Rhode Island on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11 and 12, 2016. Thompson will moderate a panel on information governance policies and participate in a discussion about information governance team members during this event.

When asked about this conference, Nick Inglis, President, Information Coalition, said, "I created the Information Governance Conference with Jim Merrifield because despite the array of conferences and events in existence on the topic of information, there were none that were addressing our major concern, namely, how does one create an overarching strategic plan for all organizational information. Instead of fanning the flames of distrust between the various disciplines and professions that leverage organizational information, we take a different approach, helping to find common ground and exploring new ways of working together. While we applaud the efforts of organizations and events that target their work to Records Managers, Data Scientists, Privacy Professionals, Taxonomists, Business Process Specialists, Information Managers, or eDiscovery Lawyers, it is when these disciplines come together at The Information Governance Conference that we are seeing real progress being made and true benefits attained. It is for that reason that we are proud to be the fastest growing event in the information arena and welcome all to join us as we work together to explore this new common ground."

"I could not agree more with Nick's assessment of the industry value of this conference," added Robin Thompson. "This conference has elevated the discussion of what information governance is in the organization, and brings the communities of practices together to talk about best practices collaboratively, featuring discussions with the top minds in information governance. I am incredibly honored to have been asked to be a part of a few of these discussions, and look forward to learning from the other distinguished panelists at this conference and from the attendees. I highly encourage my colleagues to make the effort to attend this year," said Thompson.
