On 10 November Shincheonji (SCJ), Church of Jesus, held the graduation ceremony in the province of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea for their theological seminary, Zion Christian Mission Center. The graduation was held simultaneously in three places due to the difficulties of accommodating the massive number of students at once.
Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony has successfully completed their, “100,000 Graduation Ceremony.” The total graduating number of students graduating and becoming official members of the church was 103,764. The new members boast 142% evangelism rate. This predicts the beginning of exponential growth of Shincheonji, Church of Jesus. The number of Shincheonji’s members is expected to surpass 1 million within three years, if this pattern continues.
The members of Shincheonji this year increased by over 100,000 people. Membership is achieved by obtaining pastoral-level knowledge of the Bible through an intensive six-month Bible study course that is provided cost free and passing a graduation exam. The six-month education process of the Zion Christian Mission Center of Shincheonji is divided into elementary, intermediate and advanced studies from Genesis to Revelation. The graduation standard is high. The students must take an exam after each section and must score 90 or above in order to graduate. In addition to history and moral teachings, Shincheonji emphasizes the fulfillment of the Scripture’s prophecies.
At the graduation ceremony, Pastor Man-hee Lee of Shincheonji stated, “The book of Revelation records of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven which God must fulfill. It is written that the Scripture cannot be broken. The revelation, which was written over 2,000 years ago, will be fulfilled according to what is recorded.”
One graduate, born into a family of three generations of pastors and missionaries, had carried out his ministry in Brazil. He stated the most painful part of studying in the Zion Christian Mission Center was the realization that he had been teaching lies to others all this time.
Another graduate, who also gave her testimony at the ceremony said, “I have seen the realities of the religious world as I worked in a Christian broadcast station. I have seen all the videos produced about Shincheonji by the broadcast station and I knew all the rumors online.” She said she went to Shincheonji to seek the truth and found it.
The graduation ceremony included people of all nations, races, cultures and even religions. The event was also held internationally via livestream in all six inhabited continents and in iconic locations such as New York City.
