LaTribuna Christian Publishing Reports on The Passing of Pastor Shon

By: Get News

Pastor Shon Karna passed away on Jan 2 2023 he was 57 and the Head Pastor and a patient at an Acute Respiratory Medical Rehab in Phoenix AZ. Pastor Shon had been a patient there for over four years.

Chaplain Paul Vescio was quoted saying, “I met Pastor Shon one day while he was sitting in his wheelchair out on the patio, we soon realized we had much in common, and as time passed he became my friend and Pastor and I became his friend and Chaplain, we helped each other through some very difficult times over the past few years.”

Chaplain Paul was also quoted as saying, “The quality of care that Pastor Shon received was horrible and inhumane, Pastor Shon has had to deal with mersa, e-coli, bed sores, very painful blisters, infections and rashes all because he was not changed in a timely manner. At night and on the weekends, there are far less staff on sight this is because of a lack of enforcement by all AZ State agencies who are charged with protecting AZ Long Term Care patients. This is causing wide spread neglect, mistreatment, and abuse of 1000s of patients. 1000s are being treated like zoo animals and prison inmates being forced to wait hours to be cared for and changed.

90% of Pastor Shon’s ailments and suffering were a direct result of very poor care and complications due to the fact he had to lay in his soiled diapers for hours on end. AZ elected officials need to do more in crafting good legislation that will greatly improve the safety and quality of care for AZLTC patients. It is DISGRACEFUL, SHAMEFUL, IMMORAL, and OUTRIGHT CRIMINAL how we treat our long-term care patients in America.”

Chaplain Paul has been very active in contacting AZ elected officials concerning these matters. LaTribuna Christian Publishing supports his efforts.

Chaplain Paul was also quoted saying, “Pastor Shon would always tell those around him,

“Jesus love you and so do I.”

His life and his passing shall not have been in vain he touched many lives positively in Christ Yeshua’s name for the glory of God. His courage and faith are a shining example for all to live by. My hope and prayers are that AZ elected officials will do more to improve the safety, treatment, and quality of care in AZLTC facilities.”

LaTribuna Christian Publishing supports acts of kindness and love towards others.
