CoWare Commits Support for SystemC TLM-2.0 Standard

CoWare®, Inc., the leading supplier of platform-driven electronic system-level (ESL) design software and services, announced its commitment to support the newly-released SystemC TLM-2.0 interface standard from the Open SystemC Initiative (OSCI). CoWare will provide support in upcoming releases of CoWares ESL 2.0 solutions for platform architecture design and software development during the second half of 2008.

CoWare is proud to have brought our deep experience in the modeling of virtual platforms for architecture design and software development to the definition of the new TLM-2.0 standard, said Patrick Sheridan, Director of Platform Solutions Marketing, CoWare. Our industry-leading ESL design solutions have been built on SystemC and TLM standards from OSCI and OCP-IP since 2003, and the standards-based model interoperability and reuse benefits they enable are extremely important to the hardware and software design teams deploying virtual platforms for production designs. CoWare customers and ecosystem partners will be pleased that new models created using TLM-2.0 interfaces will fit smoothly within the CoWare environment, support the full value of our solutions, and continue to benefit from the use and adoption of CoWares popular SystemC Modeling Library (SCML).

TLM-2.0 Spoken Here

CoWare support will include native SystemC TLM-2.0-based virtual platform model creation, assembly and simulation within the CoWare Platform Architect graphical environment for architecture design and performance validation; the generation, distribution, and use of CoWare Virtual Platforms for software development that contain TLM-2.0 models; and enhancements to the CoWare Model Library that will enable interoperability between new TLM-2.0 based models and the breadth of IP models available today to CoWare users based on OSCI TLM-1.0 standards and CoWares open SystemC Modeling Library (SCML) APIs.
