CELLCOM ISRAEL ANNOUNCES PURPORTED CLASS ACTION
FILED AGAINST THE COMPANY
Netanya, Israel – January 6, 2011 – Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE: CEL) (TASE: CEL) (hereinafter: the "Company"), announced today that following its previous reports dated December 2, 2010 regarding a major network malfunction and December 7, 9 and 20, 2010 regarding purported class action lawsuits filed against the Company in that regard, the Company received an additional purported class action lawsuit filed against the Company in the District Court of Jerusalem in December 2010, by a plaintiff alleging to be a subscriber of the Company, in connection with allegations that the Company unlawfully misled and failed to provide service to its subscribers during the network malfunction. The total amount claimed, if the lawsuit is certified as a class action, is estimated by the plaintiff to be NIS 990 million.
At this preliminary stage, the Company is unable to assess the lawsuit's chances of success.
